Bridal to-do list

Ideally at least 2 months prior to your wedding date, you should do your Hair and Makeup trial. During a trial you will need to provide the following information to the stylist:

  • Wedding venue and time/date

  • Reception venue and time

  • When will portraits be taken? (Before ceremony, or after)

  • What do you require? (Stay until portraits are taken, or continue for touch ups at reception, and will you be changing)

  • What time you need to be ready by

  • Skin regimen

  • Color schemes of Bridal party

  • A number on how many hair and makeup services will be needed on the day so I can schedule more artists

  • Hair and Makeup inspiration pictures - do you prefer trendy fashions or classic styles?

  • If you will be wearing hair pieces or extensions please bring them with you

  • Pictures of your outfits if you have them

  • Come prepared with your hair 100% dry and washed the night before, and your face makeup free

Tips

  • Tips: If you plan on coloring your hair, now is the time to experiment (2 months prior at least). Same goes with any new facials or beauty treatments you plan to do prior to the wedding. In case something goes wrong, you have ample time to fix it.

  • Ideally it is good to come to a trial with a facial done 2 weeks prior. Makeup does not go great on dry skin that has not been exfoliated. If you are using retinoids, please stop using them 1 week prior to any facial treatments

  • Stop using Retinoids/retinols/AHA’s a week prior to your wedding as it makes makeup separate

  • If you have curly hair, and want to keep the curl in your hairstyle, please come with it in its natural state. You can keep in whichever product you normally use

FAQ

Do you provide airbrush makeup?

Currently I do not provide airbrush makeup, but my results come out just as good, if not better!

Do you provide touch ups on the day of the event/wedding?

Touch ups are provided on request and are scheduled at a 30 min rate. Please inquire if interested.

Can I bring friends and family to the trial?

Please keep friends and family down to a minimum of 1 or 2 when you arrive at the trial as I would like to work with you personally and give you my professional advice.

How long does a trial last?

A trial can last between 2-3 hours. You will get 2 hairstyles and 1 makeup look with some tweaking if necessary.

Contact for more information and I would be more than happy to discuss all your concerns. Thank you!
