GENERAL QUESTIONS

What brands of Makeup do you use?

My kit consists of many brands that include: MAC, NARS, Makeup Forever, Anastasia Beverley Hills, Makeup Geek, Hourglass, Urban Decay, Morphe just to name a bunch.

How long does Makeup and Hair usually take? And is there any prep work needed prior?

Hair or Makeup can take up to 1 hour, depending on the look. I like to aim for 45 minutes - 1 hour for each service. Prep that can help the stylist is to come with a clean and washed face with no makeup and a light moisturizer. Hair can be washed and cleaned a day prior. Hair must be 100% dry before beginning the service and no product must be used on the hair. Wet or damp hair can increase the time taken to complete the service.

How do I book a service?

To secure a booking, a deposit would need to be paid upfront.

Do you have a physical studio?

Currently I only travel to you for all services. I am working on my studio and hope to have one in the near future.

How can I contact you?

Email or phone works, I will respond usually within a day.

What form of payment do you take?

Bank transfer or cash is preferred.

BRIDAL TRIAL

Ideally at least 2 months prior to your wedding date, you should do your Hair and Makeup trial. During a trial you will need to provide the following information to the stylist:

  • Wedding venue and time/date

  • Reception venue and time

  • When will portraits be taken? (Before ceremony, or after)

  • What do you require? (Stay until portraits are taken, or continue for touch ups at reception, and will you be changing)

  • What time you need to be ready by

  • Skin regimen

  • Color schemes of Bridal party

  • A number on how many hair and makeup services will be needed on the day so I can schedule more artists

  • Hair and Makeup inspiration pictures - do you prefer trendy fashions or classic styles? Feel free to email ideas leading to your trial

  • If you will be wearing hair pieces or extensions please bring them with you

  • Pictures of your outfits if you have them

  • Come prepared with your hair 100% dry and washed the night before, and your face makeup free

Can I bring friends and family to the trial?

Please keep friends and family down to a minimum of 1 or 2 when you arrive at the trial as I would like to work with you personally and give you my professional advice.

How long does a trial last?

A trial can last between 2-3 hours. You will get 2 hairstyles and 1 makeup look with some tweaking if necessary. A trial is recommended so you can discuss your concerns and final look for your day.

TIPS

  • If you plan on coloring your hair, now is the time to experiment (2 months prior at least). Same goes with any new facials or beauty treatments you plan to do prior to the wedding. In case something goes wrong, you have ample time to fix it.

  • Ideally it is good to come to a trial with a facial done 2 weeks prior. Makeup does not go great on dry skin that has not been exfoliated. If you are using retinoids, please stop using them 1 week prior to any facial treatments

  • Stop using Retinoids/retinols/AHA’s a week prior to your wedding as it makes makeup separate

  • If you have curly hair, and want to keep the curl in your hairstyle, please come with it in its natural state. You can keep in whichever product you normally use

SKINCARE AND GROOMING TIPS PRIOR TO THE WEDDING

  • Schedule skin care appointments at least 2 months prior so you can get the ball rolling on facials

  • Get your last facial a week prior to all events

  • Get your hair removal a week prior - that includes brows, body etc

  • Get your hair color touch up a week before events

  • Trim hair if needed, a 2-3 months before and also keep the length appropriate for the style you want on your big day
