Sugaring is 100% natural and made up of the 3 ingredients: sugar, lemon and water. It is completely chemical free and free of fragrances and colors. It is hypoallergenic, meaning it causes no skin irritation. Waxing has a host of chemicals and therefore can irritate the skin and also be toxic. The paste can be made at home or it can be bought online and stored for 12 months without any issues.

Sugaring is considered better than waxing because it prevents ingrown hairs by removing the hair completely out of the follicle. Although waxing claims to remove hairs from the root, a lot of them end up breaking off, which can lead to a number of issues.

Why choose sugaring over waxing

Sugaring is skin friendly as it does not stick to live skin cells making it less painful and causing less trauma to your skin. The reason waxing is so painful is because it removes more than just dead skin and hair, but it also sticks to live skin cells! You will also find that it very quickly dissolves away in water, in case you freak out that you made a mess on your clothing or on your furniture!

The technique that is used to sugar allows sugar paste to adhere to the follicle and allowing it to be removed with the hair growth. When you try and pluck a hair out of your brow for example, do you pluck it against the hair growth or with the growth for best results? Obviously with the hair growth so you can remove it painlessly and out of the follicle. This is the same way sugaring works.

Another benefit is that you are able to have much shorter hair for sugaring hair removal whereas waxing you need to grow it to at least 1/2 an inch.

So these are just some reasons why I love sugaring my body! If you want to learn the process, there are plenty of tutorials on youtube, but the best thing to get you started would be to purchase a medium hard tub of sugar from amazon. Thanks for reading!! Let me know if you need any help.
